When my daughter asked what flavour would you like in a birthday cake I never thought there could be such an amazing cake.
I had seen the design earlier (featured in earlier post) and have enjoyed the expectation of what was to come.
No surprises here, I have the journey. I am one of those people who likes to know the end of the movie or book and enjoy how the story evolves. I like to see the place before renovation, during renovation and the finale.
The same with the cake. It’s my birthday and I have enjoyed the experience for days now, the chat before about what it could be like, then the design about the exaggerated raspberry cream, the dark chocolate mousse with explosive raspberry pieces, the quenelles of chocolate mouse or the raspberry jelly spheres and especially the phone call to say it is on its way. It’s all about the journey and sharing the experience.
…and finally the cake….wow, the chocolate mousse texture was amazing and you can feel the explosive freeze dried raspberry popping in your mouth when you ate the cake.
At the last minute we did add a personal decoration to cake, Buddy, Hodgey and Sewell.
